Hiatus warning.

May 15, 2007

Since “fish in the sand” was my first blog to receive a comment (not from me or my wife), I oughta just quit while I’m ahead. Fish in the Sand was the name I dreamed up for a precise type of blog, once that I’m less inclined to pursue … not that I was pursuing it that much anyhow.

Anyhow, I’m gonna leave it around, in case I feel like I felt when i named it. Maybe I’ll give it to my wife, let her rename it.

But, for the shortterm, check me at mrbitterness.wordpress.com.

If you drop by, and the plant is still alive, water it for me, will ya? The cabbie was worried about potting soil in his delightful-smelling taxi.

Indie Rock has run out of names

THE 25 BEST INDIE ROCK ALBUMS EVER . . . ACCORDING TO THE BLOGOSPHERE. « Berkeley Place

I agree with quite a few of his choices, but the choice for number one had me scratching my ba- um, head. There does appear to be some evidence of a true danger to America, both at home and abroad.

We are running dangerously low on names for rock and roll bands. There will be no more original combinations of common nouns and verbs, leaving the Next Big Thing to pull proper names and adjectives out of a hat:

Antonio Kremlin,  The Mad Wisconsins, or Ted the Musical.

“If my blog does not meet your standards, then LOWER YOUR STANDARDS. Who the hell do you think you are, anyway?”
